In the Salem district of Tamilnadu, the livelihood of under privileged Arunthathiyar daily worker are highly affected by the continuous heavy rainfall and floods in last three weeks. In our working villages of Tharamangalam and Nanagavalli blocks, particularly, Chinnappampatti, Duttampatti, Periyeripatti and Narsukkadu, high flood enters the houses of these people. So the daily work people lost their houses and belongings to high floods and staying in nearby school buildings. The women and Children are looking for food and clothes. They struggling for daily basic needs. They have been recently relieved from the difficult situation of COVID-19 but unfortunately again the affected by the rainfall. They are highly vulnerable for water borne diseases such as fever and colara. So, there is an emergency to support these people to overcome this difficult situation.
RWDT involve the relief work for these victims. Hence, we request your support for these needy people. About 500 families are seeking support for one- or two-weeks livelihood needs.
